G60 Galvanized Coil
G60 is the coating grade of steel coil after continuous hot dip plating process. G represents the "galvanized" or galvanized layer of the product. The number 60 refers to the weight of the zinc around the steel coil or the thickness of the entire double-sided coating.
Details
Galvanized Steel Coil
Galvanized coil is made of hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel strip as the substrate, which is divided into hot-dip galvanizing and electrogalvanizing.
G60 Galvanized Coil
Hot-dip galvanizing is one of the effective means to delay the environmental corrosion of iron and steel materials, it is the surface of the cleaned, activated iron and steel products immersed in molten zinc, through the reaction and diffusion between iron and zinc, in the iron and steel products surface plating good adhesion of zinc alloy coating.
G60 Galvanized Coil Description
The coating designation G60 represents the type of coating and the weight of the applied coating. The letter "G" indicates that the coating is galvanized, meaning zinc-based. Meanwhile, the number "60" represents the thickness of zinc on the surface of the steel coil. Galvanized steel coil is covered with a zinc coating to provide corrosion resistance. G60 galvanized steel coil is coated with molten zinc. After the continuous coating process at a speed of 600 feet per minute, the excess zinc on the steel coil is removed by high-pressure air. This is to produce the desired coating thickness. The G60 protective coating prevents moisture from reaching the steel structure, thereby improving the corrosion resistance of the steel. This can extend the life expectancy of the steel.
Scope of Application
Galvanizing products are widely used in industry, agriculture, animal husbandry and fishery, energy, transportation, chemical industry, light industry, home appliances, construction, communications, national defense and other fields.
